julian krohn

Julian is an expert in evaluating commercial music. He spent 10 years at Universal Music in a number of positions, with his last role being A&R Manager (“artist developer”) in the Universal Music Pop division. There he discovered and supported acts such as Lena, Unheilig, Laing, Abby, Die Orsons and more. This included overseeing their album productions and new releases. Prior to that, Julian held roles such as Repertoire Manager and Song Consultant at Kobalt Music Publishing and Universal Music Publishing. As a freelance music supervisor, Julian supported a number of film productions by and with Matthias Schweighöfer. He has a BA in Cultural Studies from Humboldt University in Berlin, and also studied Music Business at Baden-Württemberg Pop Academy and at Westminster University in London.
Julian joined WHM in 2015 as Senior Music Consultant and is now Creative Director Music. He provides expert advice on scouting new artists and on music licensing. He’s also the person to speak to for all things related to successful artist-label cooperation.
